Art & Wine Walk: Artist Application Fee
The Firehouse Arts Center is pleased to announce the Artist Call for the 2026 Art & Wine Walk, taking place in Downtown Bainbridge on Saturday, May 9th from 3:00–6:00 PM. This annual event brings together local artists, downtown businesses, and the community for an afternoon celebrating creativity, connection, and the vibrant culture of our downtown district.
The Art & Wine Walk invites guests to explore participating downtown businesses while enjoying artwork and wine along the route. Each participating artist will be paired with a downtown business, where they will display a curated selection of their work within a designated area of the business during the event. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet artists, view their work, and engage directly with the creative community that helps shape Bainbridge’s cultural landscape. This event has quickly become one of the most anticipated arts events of the year, drawing a large and enthusiastic crowd. It offers artists a unique opportunity to connect with new audiences, network with downtown businesses, and build relationships with potential collectors and buyers in a relaxed and social setting.
Selected artists will be placed in a downtown business location chosen by the Firehouse Arts Center. Each participating artist will also be featured in the official Art & Wine Walk guidebook, which all attendees receive at check-in. The guidebook listing will include the artist’s name, a short bio, and either a social media handle or email address so guests can easily follow up and stay connected with the artist after the event. Artists are responsible for bringing their own display materials and artwork for the evening. Because artists will be sharing space within active businesses, participants should plan to present a focused display that fits comfortably within a small portion of the host location.
All artists must be fully set up by 2:45 PM and remain present at their location for the duration of the event, which runs from 3:00–6:00 PM.
There is a $30 application fee to apply for participation in the Art & Wine Walk. This fee helps support event coordination and planning. If an artist’s application is not accepted, the application fee will be fully refunded. Applications are due by April 9th. After the submission deadline, the Firehouse Arts Center committee will review all applications and thoughtfully match selected artists with participating downtown businesses. Applicants will be notified no earlier than April 15th to allow adequate time for the committee to complete this review and placement process.
The Firehouse Arts Center encourages artists working in a wide range of visual media to apply. We look forward to showcasing the incredible talent within our creative community while celebrating the businesses and energy that make downtown Bainbridge such a special place.
We look forward to another wonderful evening celebrating art, community, and downtown Bainbridge.
